| Enniskerry Schoolboys/girls Football Club
Enniskerry Schoolboys Football Club was founded in the early 1970s and
has now evolved to become Enniskerry Schoolboys/girls Football Club where the inclusion of girls is very
important to the club.
Our base is the Bog Meadow, and we are continuously making efforts to upgrade facilities for use by the
children.
We currently have 22 teams catering for 300+ boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 16. We have about
50 coaches involved in the club who give voluntarily of their time almost on a daily basis and
are committed to making the football happen. We also have a number of other people involved in the day to day running of the club.
We are very grateful to all involved and will always welcome new ideas, suggestions etc along with any help.
Our vision for the future is
"to provide the best possible facilities for the club
over the coming years with the improvement of pitches, clubhouse, equipment, training etc."
The Club has continued to promote soccer in the Enniskerry area and to
maintain and safeguard the interests of its members and to represent
Enniskerry in all competitions. The club operates a policy of fair play and has
adopted the European Code of Sport and Ethics definition of Fair play and is fully
committed to the well being of its members.
This Club Code of Ethics is available here. Every individual in the club should, at all times, show respect and
understanding for the rights, safety and welfare of all, and conduct
themselves in a way that reflects the principles of the club.
As the membership of the club has grown enormously over in the last few years
we have put in place a number of measures to help the club run as smoothly as possible. All members must be registerd
with the club and complete a registration form otherwise they will not be eligible to play or train with the club.
All coaches must complete a form giving details of their suitablility to work with children.
We have also appointed a Club Child Liasion as recommended and required by the FAI.
Fund raisining is a major part of the club also and funds raised are used for
the development of the club amd this is evident from the improvements in the Bog Meadow facilities with the
which now includes an all weather pitch which is used every day. There are also plans to update the
changing rooms and clubhouse and improve the pitches. All your support for our fundraising activities is much appreciated
